Hope Andrade Named Interim Chair of Transportation Commission
On January 29th, Governor Rick Perry named Esperanza “Hope” Andrade of San Antonio the interim chair of the Texas Transportation Commission. Andrade has served on the commission since 2003. Chair Hope Andrade said in a statement, “I thank Governor Perry for his trust and I am honored to serve in this position. I am committed to continuing to work together with our many partners in transportation statewide to keep Texas moving, and I look forward to serving the Governor in this capacity.” She succeeds the late Ric Williamson as chairman of the commission. He died December 30th of a heart attack at age 55.
